Jo

Joellen began her work with animals at the age of 15. She started with summer jobs as an animal handler, then later as a veterinary assistant. While studying at Occidental College in Los Angeles, she worked as a self-employed dog trainer. After graduating in 2011 with a degree in Urban and Environmental Policy, Joellen started to travel the world in search of meaning.

She rediscovered her passion for helping animals, beginning in February 2013 in Auroville, India. This led to co-founding Peepal Farm in December 2014. She has been building and living at Peepal Farm (Himachal Pradesh) ever since.
