Joey was rescued in Nurpur after suffering a serious jaw fracture that left her unable to eat properly. Bobby was rescued in Bhatoli after being found with a serious wound on her head. She arrived at Peepal Farm in a great deal of pain and needed immediate help to remove maggots and clean her injury. Each day, Bobby receives careful wound cleaning, bandaging, and other treatments to support her recovery. She is under close observation and continues to be cared for by the team.

Shinu is a baby bull who came to Peepal Farm after being found in Palampur with a serious injury to his hind leg. When he arrived, his wound needed careful cleaning and daily bandaging, as well as ongoing attention for swelling and discomfort. Shinu continues to receive regular wound care and treatment from the team to support his healing journey.

Tezaab was rescued in Rait after suffering multiple burns across his body. When he arrived at Peepal Farm, he had a deep wound around his neck and needed careful cleaning and daily treatment to help his skin heal. His burns are gently cleaned and treated with coconut oil and special ointments every day. Tezaab continues to receive attentive care as he recovers from his injuries.

Bonnie was rescued from Bodar Balla after being found with a serious wound on his back that left bone exposed. When he arrived, he needed help with cleaning his injury and caring for pain and swelling, so the team made sure his wound was gently cleaned and treated every day. Bonnie is continuing to receive careful attention and support as he heals at Peepal Farm.

Dhara is a baby cow who was rescued in Shahpur after being found with a serious injury to her back leg. When she arrived, she was unable to put any weight on that leg and needed careful wound cleaning and bandaging every day. Vyom was rescued in Nagrota Bagwan after being found with a painful injury to his hoof. When he arrived, he was in need of urgent attention for his wounded leg. Rakshit was rescued as a baby in Kulhar, Dramman after he injured his front hoof. He arrived with swelling, pain, and some bleeding in his leg, but has been able to stand on all four legs. Each day, his caretakers carefully clean his hoof and change his bandage to help him heal.

Piper was rescued in Dramman after being found with a painful wound on their ear. They arrived at Peepal Farm in need of help, and have since been receiving gentle wound cleaning and daily care to support their healing. Each day, Piper is monitored closely to make sure their ear continues to improve.

Mathri was rescued from Matour after she developed painful swelling in her udder that made her visibly uncomfortable. When she arrived, she needed ongoing help to manage the swelling and discomfort, including careful cleaning and draining to help her feel better. Mathri is still receiving regular attention to ease her pain and support her healing. Her journey reminds us how important it is to step in when animals in our communities need help.

Khushi was rescued as a baby cow from Ghrow after she suffered a serious injury to her hind legs. When she arrived, she was unable to stand on her own and needed help just to get up. Her wounds are being carefully cleaned every day and her bandages changed regularly as she continues to receive treatment. Khushi is still on her journey of recovery here at Peepal Farm.

Magadh was rescued with a severe maggot wound on his right ear.

By the time he arrived, the wound was badly infected, with live maggots, foul-smelling discharge, and extensive damage to the skin and underlying tissue. We immediately started him on antibiotics, painkillers, and supportive medicines, while using ivermectin to remove the maggots. Regular cleaning and dressing of the wound has been carried out every day.

Unfortunately, part of the ear had become necrotic and could not be saved. To stop the infection from spreading and give him the best chance of recovery, we had to surgically remove the damaged portion of his ear.

Magadh is now recovering well after the surgery. The wound is healing steadily with continued cleaning, bandaging, and regular monitoring. He is also receiving treatment for an eye infection that developed alongside his ear injury.

Magadh still has some healing ahead, but he is improving every day under regular care.

Pannu was rescued after being found unable to stand.

When he arrived, he was in a recumbent condition and was too weak to get up on his own, although he continued to have a normal appetite. We immediately started him on fluids, pain relief, antibiotics, calcium, and supportive medicines to help him regain his strength.

To aid his recovery, Pannu is also being lifted regularly so that he can gradually start bearing weight on his legs again. He has been receiving nutritional supplements and supportive care every day.

There has been encouraging progress over the past few days. Pannu is now able to stand on his own, although he still remains weak and will need more time to regain his strength completely.

As the wound began to recover, some damaged skin had to be removed surgically so that healthy tissue could heal properly. Since then, the wound has continued to improve, with healthy new tissue developing.

Takshila was rescued with a severe open fracture in her left front leg after an accident.

Unfortunately, the damage was too severe, and the best option for Takshila's recovery was to amputate the injured leg. The surgery has now been completed successfully.

She is currently recovering under close observation. We are providing regular cleaning of the surgical site, pain management, antibiotics, and supportive medicines to help her heal. The suture line is being monitored closely as there has been some swelling and mild discharge, which is gradually improving with continued care.

Betal was rescued from Raja Ka Talaab with a large tumour on his stomach. Despite the added risk due to his age, we went ahead with surgery to remove it, and the procedure was successful. Rana was rescued from Shamirpur with a major cut on one of his hind legs. He has been started on antibiotics, painkillers, and steroids, along with regular dressing of the wound. Renu is a cruelty survivor — someone shot her front leg with a bullet, causing severe damage that eventually required amputation. The sutures from the surgery opened up soon after, and we have since been treating the site as an open wound. Her condition is not very stable at the moment. He is on painkillers and antibiotics, with daily dressing and cleaning ongoing. It will take a long time for him to recover fully. Drishti was rescued after being found with multiple wounds across her body and blindness in one eye. When she arrived, she had injuries on her back, chest, and hind leg that needed regular cleaning, dressing, and ongoing wound care. Day by day, the wounds gradually healed with treatment, and her condition steadily improved. While her wounds recovered well, it became clear that the blindness in her right eye was permanent. Considering her age, vision loss, and the challenges she would face surviving on her own, we decided that releasing her would not be the kindest option. Today, Drishti has left the hospital and is now a permanent resident at our sanctuary, where she will spend the rest of her life safe, cared for, and surrounded by friends. After everything she has been through, she finally has a place to call home.

Chamkila was rescued from Yol because of severe hoof overgrowth in one of his hind legs. Over time, the overgrown hoof also caused a wound in the area.

Right now, we are focusing on healing the wound first. Regular cleaning is being done with NS and betadine to prevent infection and help the area recover.

Once the wound heals properly, we will trim the hoof and then assess his long-term condition.

Depending on his recovery and mobility, we will decide whether he can be released or if he may need to stay with us as a permanent resident.

Chamkila still has a long recovery ahead and needs continued care and support.

Ashram is a cruelty case. His owners shot him with a local gun after he bit someone, instead of seeking help.

On X-ray, multiple pellets were found inside his body. These are difficult to remove safely, so they have been left in place.

We have given him a course of antibiotics and painkillers, and he is under close care.

He is stable now, and we are monitoring his recovery. Once he improves further, we will decide the next steps for his long-term care.

Kittu was adopted from our hospital just a year ago. He’s a friendly, gentle cat and had no behavioural issues, but unfortunately, he couldn’t adjust to the family. He just needs a home where he’s truly welcomed and understood. We’ll be trying our best to find him a loving family again. Batata, a young calf, was rescued from Nagrota Bagwan along with his mother, Bata, after he suffered a painful front leg fracture and a wound.
