Ashoka was rescued from Raja Ka Talaab with a wound on his head, along with part of his horn broken. He arrived with heavy bleeding and maggots in the wound. We first removed the maggots and cleaned the area; the bleeding hasn't fully stopped yet, which is common with head injuries as they tend to bleed more than wounds elsewhere. He is on painkillers and antibiotics, with daily dressing and cleaning ongoing. It will take a long time for him to recover fully.
