Drishti was rescued after being found with multiple wounds across her body and blindness in one eye. When she arrived, she had injuries on her back, chest, and hind leg that needed regular cleaning, dressing, and ongoing wound care. Day by day, the wounds gradually healed with treatment, and her condition steadily improved. While her wounds recovered well, it became clear that the blindness in her right eye was permanent. Considering her age, vision loss, and the challenges she would face surviving on her own, we decided that releasing her would not be the kindest option. Today, Drishti has left the hospital and is now a permanent resident at our sanctuary, where she will spend the rest of her life safe, cared for, and surrounded by friends. After everything she has been through, she finally has a place to call home.
