Disco was rescued from Chambi after suffering accidental trauma. When he arrived, we ran a CBC blood test and an X-ray, which revealed that the bone in his leg was completely shattered. The damage was so severe that splinting was not possible. To save his life and relieve his pain, an amputation surgery was carried out. Disco is now in recovery. He is on antibiotics, and his surgical site is being cleaned regularly to prevent infection. He is also receiving supplements and calcium to support healing. The good news is that Disco is eating well and resting comfortably on strict cage rest. In about three weeks, his sutures will be removed, followed by a recheck to ensure everything is healing properly. If his recovery continues smoothly, Disco will be put up for adoption, so he can find a loving home despite losing a limb. By sponsoring Disco, you help cover his diagnostics, surgery, medicines, supplements, and post-operative care. And by choosing to adopt, you can give this brave survivor a second chance at a happy life. Every sponsorship makes a difference for Disco.
