Kabutar

Kabutar was rescued from Nagrota Bagwan after his hind leg hoof grew abnormally large and painful. The growth caused swelling and made it extremely difficult for him to walk or put weight on his leg. Kabutar had come to us once before with the same issue, but at that time the growth was small and could not be safely removed. Sadly, it returned — this time much worse, causing him severe pain. Our team has now removed the hoof growth and started Kabutar on antibiotics and pain relief to manage infection and discomfort. Right now, he is in a lot of pain, and his wound needs regular dressing and close monitoring to heal properly. Kabutar’s recovery will be slow. It may take 3–4 months before he can heal completely and move comfortably again. During this time, he will need continued medical care, medicines, daily dressings, and rest.
