Takshila was rescued with a severe open fracture in her left front leg after an accident.

The injury was extremely serious, with the bone exposed and extensive damage to the leg. We immediately started her on antibiotics, painkillers, fluids, and supportive care. Regular cleaning, dressing, and splinting of the wound was also carried out in an attempt to save the leg.

Unfortunately, the damage was too severe, and the best option for Takshila's recovery was to amputate the injured leg. The surgery has now been completed successfully.

She is currently recovering under close observation. We are providing regular cleaning of the surgical site, pain management, antibiotics, and supportive medicines to help her heal. The suture line is being monitored closely as there has been some swelling and mild discharge, which is gradually improving with continued care.

Takshila has a long recovery ahead, but she is eating well and receiving all the care she needs to adapt after her surgery.
